At Espaço Artemyn, a house offering social responsibility initiatives near the kaolin processing plant in Barcarena, Brazil, the scene is a daily occurrence: classrooms buzzing with activity, computers on, and young people absorbed in their teacher’s instructions.

This project serves as a continuous support hub for children, adolescents, and adults living in the vicinity of the company’s operations.

The project offers a variety of activities from Monday to Friday, including tutoring for children, vocational courses for young people and adults, and training for community leaders.

Additionally, external actions are conducted with a focus on health and citizenship, along with initiatives for income generation, entrepreneurship, and employability.

Tutoring serves as a crucial entry point for many families. For over a year, eight-year-old Victor Kauê Prestes has benefited from the programme.

His mother, Vanuza de Araújo, a doorman residing in Vila do Conde, Barcarena, emphasises the significance of this initiative.



The impact also reaches adults. This was the case for Isaías Garcia de Aquino, 27 years old, a resident of the Industrial District of Vila do Conde, who in 2025 completed the Basic Computer Skills course at Espaço Artemyn.

Now employed at a company that provides services to Artemyn, he attributes his achievement to the training. “In the interview, I took a practical computer skills test and was able to perform confidently because of everything I learned. It was a turning point in my professional life.”

In Barcarena, the project directly impacted the residents of six communities, benefiting more than a thousand people.

Espaço Artemyn goes beyond a mere location, establishing itself as a vital hub for social interaction and transformation.
